My grandfather was my first art teacher. He would sit for hours at the dining room table drawing fancy fonts and doodling naked women - their breasts, belly, hair and faces. He taught me the geometry and structure of the head and face, like how the tip of the ears align with the center of the eyes.
I'm a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art. Everything I do and think about relates back to that dining room table with my grandfather and the engineering of the human form.
Recently, I recreated myself through mosaics as it most captures my fascination with the movement of natural light, and incorporates structure and geometry.
