 " Local Water "
with David L. Cross

Picture
Standing Green
This month the Artists’ Co-op of Mendocino celebrates the work of Featured Artist David L. Cross. His exhibition “Local Water” reflects the many years he has skillfully painted the meeting of water and land along the North Coast. David's most familiar and collected works possess a poetic realism, as seen in his treatment of waves that crash upon the rocks, or gently recede into foam along the sands. The show includes a series of surrealistic rock formations that rise from the sea. These fantasy islands are meticulously painted with beautiful and intriguing textures that will capture your imagination. David L. Cross has been an active member of the Artists’ Co-op for more than 25 years and is recognized widely as a premier marine artist. He is also represented at the Quarry Gallery and Glassfire Gallery in Fort Bragg.
“Local Water” will be on display at the Artists’ Co-op from September 6th through October 2nd. The gallery islocated at Kasten x Albion Streets in Mendocino open every day from 11am to 4pm and for extended hours on Second Saturday until 7pm.
