Debra Beck Lennox "Flowers and Bees" November 5 to December 1, 2025 Mendocino artist and architect Debra Beck Lennox creates paintings and prints in her Butsu studio at Big River Farm—an historic Zen farm where redwoods hold stillness, bees hum prayers, and art remembers the land. Her gallery show, Flowers and Bees, celebrates the light, rhythms, and pollinators of the Northern California coast. Through watercolor and printmaking, Debra translates the dialogue between blossoms and bees into visual form—reminding us of the fragile abundance that sustains life. “Art channels beauty—beauty feeds our souls and creates joy,” Debra reflects. “As I draw and paint, bees and flowers speak to me. I see more clearly the connection between pollinators and nature’s ability to grow and thrive—providing food for creatures, including us. Food for our bodies and food for our souls. Thank you, friend bees and flowers, for reminding us to listen, see, smell, taste, and touch the nourishment of beauty.” The exhibit invites viewers into that conversation—where art and ecology meet, and where tending to pollinators becomes a practice of gratitude and presence. Throughout November, Debra will donate 50% of all artwork sales to Conservation Works, <https://www.conservationworksnc.org/pollinator-protection> a key Bee Bold Alliance partner dedicated to protecting pollinators and teaching youth about saving bees and butterflies on California’s North Coast. We welcome you to a reception on Second Saturday <https://mail.hughes.net/calendar/day/1760209200000>, November 8th from 4 to 7pm including a chance to hear the artist talk at 5:30 at the Artist’s Co-Op located at the corner of Albion and Kasten Streets in Mendocino.
