Artists' Notes:
•  All works have a protective layer of varnish, acrylic,  or Modge Podge.
​•  Purchases can be made by contacting the artists using the form at the bottom of the page.  Collages created jointly by Shanti and Sev  are available at Prentice Gallery on Main St. in Mendocino.

Over the course of more than a year, Sev Ickes and Shanti Benoit met on Tuesdays to make art. Their creative efforts became collaborations and evolved to focus on collages that had a unique approach: all the papers are hand crafted before being cut into the shapes that are incorporated into the objects in the composition. The resulting hues, textures, and  patterns are one-of-a-kind, even before the imagery is created. 
​       Their productivity extended into individual time beyond the one day per week, resulting in surprising each other with new work each time they met. Ultimately they decided to exhibit their work at the Artists' Co-op of Mendocino Gallery during the summer of 2020.  This Virtual Exhibition is that show, presented here for a broader online audience and to allow you to revisit their artwork often.
